We aim to increase transparency in social intervention research.

To make evidence-based policy, we need evaluations of social interventions that are conducted using open science practices and reported transparently.

Practices such as prospective study registration, clear and comprehensive reporting of methods and results, and data sharing can play an important role in preventing biases that distort our best estimates of intervention effects. Greater openness and transparency will improve our ability to identify what works and for whom, enabling policymakers to fund and replicate interventions that work.

The Transparency of Research Underpinning Social Intervention Tiers (TRUST) Initiative is a collaboration that includes governmental partners, research transparency organizations, journal editors, and individual investigators. Our objective is to increase the transparency of social intervention research used to support evidence-based policy-making.

The TRUST Initiative is funded by Arnold Ventures.
